Kailash Khola Hydropower Project (4.65mW)

Kailash Khola Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. was established in 2026 A.D. as a hydropower development company focused on developing sustainable and environmentally responsible renewable energy projects in Nepal. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of N.R.N. Global Ventures Ltd. and operates with a vision of contributing to Nepal’s growing energy sector through clean and reliable hydropower development.

The company is currently planning to develop the Kailash Khola Cascade Hydropower Project, a 4.65 MW Run-of-River (RoR) hydropower project located in Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal. The project aims to supply renewable electricity to the national grid while supporting local socio-economic development and environmental sustainability.

The Kailash Khola Hydropower Project is a 4.65 MW run-of-river scheme in Achham District, Sudurpaschim Province, using water from the Kailash Khola River. With a gross head of 105 m and design discharge of 5.27 m³/s, it features a 3,060 m headrace pipe, 300 m penstock, and a surface powerhouse with two 2.325 MW Francis turbines. The project is expected to generate 30.73 GWh annually and includes supporting infrastructure such as a 3 km access road and an 11 km, 33 kV transmission line connected to the Budhiganga switchyard.
